A first Rallye for mother and daughter
TEAM 184
They are Team 184 (Cécile BIRLING / Caroline BIRLING - CBA Informatique Libérale), “Le Cœur des femmes.” A few hours ago, Caroline and her daughter Cécile embarked upon one heck of an adventure. Caroline had been thinking about doing the Rallye for a long time. “I always had this project in the back of my mind, but between the children and starting my company, I never had the chance. A year ago, when I took some time and space for myself, I was finally able to set the project in motion.”
An obvious sponsor
Caroline has been following the event for a long time, but both women took a closer interest in the Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles du Maroc upon discovering its humanitarian side. The CEO and co-founder of CBA Informatique was captivated by Cœur de Gazelles. “The association reflects the passions and values of our company: the female cause, women’s rights and sustainable development. A partnership between CBA and the Rallye made perfect sense.”
They then met with Rallye founder and director Dominique Serra and team relations manager Marina Vrillacq to present the concept to them. “After that it became more and more clear. Like them, we are a mother and daughter. The Cœur de Gazelles medical caravan and all the values of this rally correspond perfectly with what we seek to transmit to our employees and, in my case, to my daughters.”
A personal dimension
“On a personal level, this is a challenge for me. At the age of 62, I’m leaving my comfort zone. From the beginning, I chose to be the driver, and when I saw everything the navigator has to do, I was even more convinced.” Caroline trained with a sports coach for four months. “I tried sleeping on my camping mat, but it wasn’t very convincing… the first few nights might be difficult, but I brought my pillow!” Do they have a goal? “Neither of us has done this before. So we’re not here to win, but to finish.”
