Picking up their lunch rations
VERIFICATIONS FRANCE, ALLIANZ RIVIERA STADIUM, NICE
Between the mechanical verifications and the sticker workshop, the Gazelles stop off to pick up their ration packs. The Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles du Maroc is a real sports competition and the participants will be expending plenty of energy over the next two weeks.
On the menu: Thai salad, pasta salad, soup, tea, instant coffee, shepherd’s pie and nougat. And for those moments when they are in need of a pick-me-up or the taste of home, most of them have brought a supply of their favourite snacks.
Participants with dietary restrictions (e.g. gluten intolerance) do not take the rations and have brought their own supplies for lunch.
Any unused rations will be donated to Cœur de Gazelles for distribution in the villages visited by the caravan.
