While the international teams carry out their technical, administrative and medical verifications this afternoon in Erfoud, the 143 other teams are in the middle of the Mediterranean, aboard the ferry run by Rallye partner GNV.

Since setting sail from Sète Sunday afternoon, they have been taking advantage of this long trip to get to know each other. But the Gazelles are keeping busy, even on the boat: the organization has planned a navigation refresher course for them. Latitude, longitude, compass and set square… in theory, the Gazelles know how to plot a heading! But reality, in the middle of the desert and the dunes, is sure to hold many surprises…
